$1,000,000,000 for 60 politicians pensions???

Politicians pensions what a rort!

After the next election 60 politicians will be on the defined benefits pension scheme which is only for those elected before 2004.

Say their average age is 60 and they live to the average of 83yrs (they mostly male) that will be $996,000,000.00. That’s $80.00 from every person who filed a tax return in 2017 AND it does count other schemes or allowances or extra pension for ex-ministers!

They can also earn other income and it’s NOT means tested!
