School Teacher Property Investor David Is All Smiles
Thailand based school teacher property investor David Langley took possession of his brand new investment property in Goulburn NSW this August. After calculating his profit just from building the property he was heard to say, “I should’ve bought the other one as well”.
David originally decided on buying both sides of a duplex in “Lamarra” a development 5 minutes from fast growing Goulburn. At the last minute he decided he would just dip his toe in the water and just took one duplex which has rocketed in value while the land was being developed and the house built.
As School Teacher Property Investor David works at the British International School in Phuket Thailand. He teaches primary school children and wanted to buy property in his Self Managed Superannuation Fund to increase his asset base in retirement. Rent from Australian property goes a long way in Asia and was a hedge if he wanted to return here after retirement.
School Teacher Property Investor Not A Bad Combination
David Langley isn’t the only school teacher who thinks property investments are are good thing about 15% of school teachers claimed negative gearing deductions last year according to the ATO.
