Property Investment Is A long Term Game
Where Are All The Key Workers Going ? Where they can afford to live. What does that mean for the rest of us?
Well it means they aren’t where they are needed.
So Police aren’t coaching the local cricket team, they aren’t interacting with our children. What that does is limit their response to dealing with your son or daughter if they get into trouble because the Police simply don’t know you, your child or the community. It creates an “us and them” situation that no amount of training can overcome.
The MAcH10 long term leasing programme overcomes this. If you are a property investor you get a ten year lease with no vacancy, blue chip tenants and extra tax deductions courtesy of the commonwealth government.
Our key workers get affordable housing where we need them.
Rental housing ideas are flying about the country in the face of the affordable housing crisis.
When given a safe product like a MAcH10 long term leased property, property investors are more than willing to support affordable housing initiatives. This is especially true when those initiatives are aimed at providing for our emergency services personnel and their support staff as the MAcH10 programme is.
Are boarding houses the next gold mine for property investors ?
That’s where my money is going, but, there’s a but, you must have,
Here’s the scenario pay $500,000 for a 3/4 bedroom house on the Sunshine Coast and rent it for about $500/week or design it right and MAcH10 will rent it from you for ten years starting at $600/week.
That is an extra $5,200/year with no vacancy and no maintenance for 10 years.
So, are boarding houses the next gold mine for property investors ? The numbers say yes!

Developers Propose ‘New Age’ Boarding House for Parramatta
Revelop aims to remove the “stigma” of social housing. In their proposal, they have pointed to the structure as housing a “new generation” boarding house which they describe as “designed to provide affordable options in priced-out areas for the average Joe.”
“New generation boarding houses can provide low cost, flexible rental accommodation to a wide range of tenants, particularly single retirees, homeless, working singles, students and young couples,” the proposal said. Developers Propose ‘New Age’ Boarding House for Parramatta

How important is internet access when buying a property? I’d say VERY VERY important! Almost as important as water, power and transport.
Think about it.
I work from home a minimum of two or three days a week as a lot of you probably do.
I don’t have a traditional landline phone I use an internet phone so I don’t get phone bills.
All my children need internet access every night for their homework. They don’t even submit hard copy assignments anymore it is all done electronically.
Does better broadband mean higher property prices?
A comprehensive report carried out by the London School of Economics used 15 years of data to examine the impact broadband had on house prices. This showed that on average house prices increased by 3% when broadband speeds doubled. And a study from 2014 suggested that slow broadband could knock as much as 20% off the value of a home. Educating your child has been the subject of a number of books by Author Peg Tyre. Here she reviews the five books most influential in knowing what educating your child is really about.
I’ve been an education journalist for many years and I’ve frequently stumbled on a nugget of knowledge, 10 pages into an academic article, that made me think, “I wish I had known this when I was making decisions about my own children’s schooling.” So I decided to write a book that takes research out of the academic silo and puts it in the hands of the people who need it the most, the parents.
